Taormina – Come si racconta la guerra? Ieri abbiamo proiettato alla presenza del regista Thierry de Peretti ‘À son image’, una storia di nazionalismo ambientato nella Corsica di fine Novecento.
Il cineasta francese ci ha offerto un punto di vista affascinante e inedito, dipingendo un ritratto lungo quasi vent’anni di una “famiglia” legata da sentimenti di amicizia e amore. Il tutto attraverso il prisma romantico della traiettoria di un giovane fotografo, in un film che gioca sapientemente sul confine narrativo tra ciò che è sullo schermo e ciò che rimane nascosto.

Taormina – How do you tell the story of war? Yesterday, we screened ‘À son image’ in the presence of the director Thierry de Peretti, a tale of nationalism set in late 20th-century Corsica.
The French filmmaker offered us a fascinating and novel perspective, painting a nearly twenty-year portrait of a “family” bound by friendship and love. All this is depicted through the romantic prism of a young photographer’s journey, in a film that skillfully plays with the narrative boundary between what is on screen and what remains hidden.
